[25 Oct. 2011] The Mechatronics Forum, the oldest and most established international mechatronics conference, will be held in Linz in 2012. Organizers are ACCM and Johannes Kepler University Linz; the conference will be chaired by Univ.Prof. Dr. Rudolf Scheidl and Univ.Prof. Dr. Bernhard Jakoby.
The biannual Mechatronics Forum, held for the thirteenth time in 2012, assembles mechatronics experts from around the world to present and discuss new results and trends in mechatronics and to encourage a more intensive mechatronics approach to research in product development.
The 2012 conference in Linz will showcase industrial implementation of mechatronics. This purpose will be served by mini-symposia that address primarily mechatronic problems, approaches and solutions for specific industrial branches or product lines.
“It is a great recognition of our achievements in mechatronics to have been chosen to host this renowned conference in Linz,” says Scheidl. He anticipates interesting information for all participants, further strengthening of the international profile of Linz in mechatronics, additional useful international contacts, and intensification of the implementation of the mechatronic paradigm in science and industry.
